INFINITY HALL LIVE presents “Music. Pure and Simple.” with another stellar lineup of musicians who will be hitting our stage this season with eight brand new episodes.
Like a soft, warm breeze Grammy award winning band America opens our season, bringing their sweet, nostalgic rock to your living room. With harmonies that drift on the air as beautifully as the smell of lilacs on a long summer night, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell captivate the stage with the same magic they did decades ago. Their performance is so fresh and full of life that their chart-topping hits like “Horse with No Name” bring the summer of ’72 rushing back like a wave.
Sadie and the Hotheads (featuring Downton Abbey’s Elizabeth McGovern) bring their playful energy to the INFINITY HALL LIVE stage in Episode 2. Their eclectic set mixes original songs, like “Everybody’s Got a Song,” with unexpected re-imaginings of classic hits including the BeeGee’s “Staying Alive.” Listening to Sadie and the Hotheads is like hanging out with that quirky, artsy girl from high-school. You never know what she might say or do, but you can guarantee that she will have a unique perspective on life and she’ll be a lot of fun to hang out with.
If you want to take a road trip this summer, but don’t want to sit in traffic for hours on end, tune into the Tedeschi Trucks Band. In Episode 3, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks (and their incredible backing band) take you on a dynamic journey with visits to every emotional pit stop along the way. Just when you think your heart might break from Tedeschi’s smoky, soulful and gut-wrenching delivery on songs like “Midnight in Harlem,” the band takes a left turn and you find yourself cruising to the high energy mix of Trucks’ winding guitar riffs masterfully spewing a groove that you can’t help but get up and move to.
In July, the slower, sultry compilation Women of Song, showcases stunning performances by some of our favorite INFINITY HALL LIVE songbirds including Tori Amos, Aimee Mann, Shelby Lynne, Wilson Phillips, The Wailin’ Jennys, and Joan Osborne.
The performances continue to sizzle in mid-July with ’90 s indie-rock darlings Toad the Wet Sprocket (Episode 5) and our compilation of Guitar Heroes (Episode 6) featuring meaty riffs and technical finger work from legendary guitarists Tommy Emmanuel, Robert Cray, Tim Reynolds, and Keb’ Mo’.
The summer season winds down with dazzling performances from guitar virtuoso Robben Ford (Episode 7) and wraps up with the blues, folk and rock-inspired sounds of singer, songwriter, bandleader and multi-instrumentalist Jackie Greene (Episode 8).
INFINITY HALL LIVE brings you an amazing season of intimate and original performances from some of music’s most exciting artists! Don’t miss a minute of the musical goodness.
